The magic of radiant heat Here is the thing about forced-air systems: they waste so much energy just heating up the air around the part. UHP lamps don’t bother with that. They use electromagnetic waves to put the heat directly into the substrate. We use high-purity quartz envelopes for these lamps. Why?
